Sunshine Thibault
I cannot think of anyone who epitomizes Safety Leader in the workplace more! Sunshine has earned the respect of our staff for her passion in ensuring everyone is working safely. It has certainly been challenging ensuring all safety protocols are being followed with the ever changing environment of COVID, however, Sunshine has certainly risen to the task. Our staff were well informed on any and all changes that pertained to their day to day routines, as well as measures to be taken to keep themselves and our customers safe. Sunshine has been working closely with the new members of the Committee to build their knowledge and confidence in being Safety Representatives for the store. We consistently receive outstanding marks thanks to the communication of our OHS Committee lead by Sunshine. Even Sunshine's husband can attest to her ‘Work Safely’ mentality when he is being "supervised" at home doing DIY projects. Sunshine takes great pride in her Safety Week, a week long event with many displays as well as lots of fun games and activities to communicate/educate our staff on safety policies and annual refreshers. Sunshine is always thinking of innovative ways to foster a Work Safe Environment which is why I believe she is very deserving of this nomination.
