On September 11, 2001, Gander, became a safe harbor for 38 international aircrafts, their passengers, crew and some animals. Derm Flynn was the mayor of nearby Appleton during 9/11. He was involved in many of the local efforts during that time and is one of the characters portrayed in the musical "Come From Away". How do you deal with an incident such as this and can you prepare for it? Mr. Flynn will give his account of how the people of the Gander area were at their best during this terrfying experience.
